In walking distance (within 10 min. walk): * Waterlooplein (fleemarket, rent a bike); * Rembrandtplein (cafe's, restaurants, terraces ...) * Utrechtsestraat (boutiques, restaurants, bars) * Rembrandthuis (where Rembrandt lived) * Willet Holthuis museum (small but interesting to see how rich people lived in the 17th C.); * Amstel (take a roundtrip on the boat to see Amsterdam); * Theater (Carre) and the Operabuilding; * Hermitage; * the Zoo. You can go where you like, because the metro is 2 min. away and there are all kind of trams.
